Righteously Indignant

By Christopher Rupley

I constantly hold

back rage towards

the cowards who would

rather judge than

try and understand

Even and especially

when it contradicts

the very core of all

of their beliefs

To me it’s laughable,

unimaginable,

crass and unhelpful,

but to them

it is acceptable,

expected and heavily

dependent upon

group dynamics,

especially their

indignant righteousness

So much so

that if one of them

asked me what Jesus

would do,

I would say

that he would

look down on you…
