Rebellion of the Righteous

By Christopher Rupley and Phen Weston

Strangers meeting in the night,

challenge each to haunting fight,

to feel the depths of endless fright,

and the chaos of souls devoured

What were the sentient to feel,

when virtual became the real

and human endeavor brittle steel,

beneath false Gods we cowered,

Our choices find us consciously connected,

for so few have chosen what is rejected,

what was set apart for those rightly selected,

by the One who walks alone

And this One lashes out His wrath,

consuming all those in His path,

slowing only to help the chosen lean upon His staff,

while He destroys what the false Gods have employed

Straightening the fallen cove

the sickening masses and the corruptible drove,

ripening succession of hallowed shrove,

the sins of the father are lapsed and destroyed…

(This is part of a collaborative poetic effort between myself and one of my favorite writers, Phen Weston. He honors me with the presence of his writing on my blog. Make sure and check out his work by visiting darknesswarmth.wordpress.com).
