The Farce Separating Us

Clearly drawn imaginary

lines

fuel our differences,

disparaging what’s inside

 

And we can’t escape

the apartheid we’re inside,

settling instead

to further define

the differences between us,

where we hide in our minds

 

We shape

and mold it,

and say it’s okay,

but what we’ve really done

is give rise,

justification and confirmation

for the states,

nation,

and world we create…
