Forgotten Tears

By Christopher Rupley and Patience

A cluttered barrage
of puttering feet
stand three feet deep,
in a garage
near the nearest
trash heap

His hands move deftly,
almost imperceptibly
as they sort and sift
through memories that drift
like old news

Grainy stains,
both black and grey
stream down,
tears like stories
written on his face,
his near-forgotten
yesterdays

(This is a poetic collaboration between myself and the one and only Patience. Please take the time to check out her blog by visiting loveletterstoaghost).
