Blistered Soul (Nonet)

one that curved and then spurned my woes,

and the glass mixed with tar on

the soles of my tortured

feet reminded me

that this life is

not for the

faint of

(The form is nonet and the count is 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1).

  1. Thanks! I’m just trying to branch out a little. It’s funny though. This tidal wave of versed forms has really given me a different perspective on my free verse. I didn’t expect that…

  2. Agreed. I always used to write Haiku, but ever since Jadedmess and I started writing, she opened my eyes to a few more forms, and I apparently went buck-wild in my search, and found like 5 more forms. I’m sure there are plenty more out there. I’m just on this Eastern form ‘fix’ right now, and I really dig it!
