San Anne*

Into her cobbled
streets I wander, and with grace
alongside her breadth
she carries me toward peace,
and allows the breeze
to kiss my windswept spirit.

Is it wandering
if I am slowing moving
toward her precious whispers?

(This is one of several beautiful Eastern forms of poetry called Waka. This particular form is named Choka, and the syllable count is 5-7-5-7-5-7…5-7-7. San Antonio, Texas. You are my mistress).
