Quietus Tableau

Peeking through the glass,
biding all our time
with morbid patience,
and a moth-filled robe
sits the angel of
humanity’s end

(I took this picture on my last trip to San Antonio. It was in an abandoned building overlooking the Riverwalk adjacent to Pecan St. I thought it was rather poetic. A Tableau is 6 lines, and includes 5 syllables in each line with no set rhyme scheme, unless you want one. The title must include the word ‘tableau’ simply because it means, ‘picture.’)
