Inverted Tiered Haiku

1-2-1

She
cowers
there

2-3-2

Biting
her lip with
tension

3-5-3

Pushing stringed
wet hair out of her
beaten face

5-7-5

Gnawing at her hands
in quiet desperation
as he grabs the saw

(A lot of times when working with my Tiered Haiku, or Inverted Tiered Haiku forms I’m just letting a thought take its course, and trying to refine it, but every so often I do sporadic character development. Also, just as food for thought, I was thinking of a scene in ” Silence of The Lambs” when writing this piece. It seemed befitting of a character that didn’t get much play, although she was asked to put the lotion in the damn basket. She had ONE job!)
